Will Sheehey, who has been part of the Golden State Warriors organization for the past four years in a variety of coaching and development roles, is now set to take the next step in his career overseas.
According to Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops, Sheehey has officially signed a one-year contract with the Bakken Bears, a top-tier basketball club in Denmark. In his new position, he will serve as an assistant coach while also leading the team’s player development program.
During his time with the Warriors, Sheehey worked closely with players to refine their skills and contribute to the team’s broader developmental strategies.
His most recent role in the organization was as the assistant director of player development and innovation, where he played a key part in crafting individualized growth plans and incorporating new methodologies into training.
Now, with the Bakken Bears, Sheehey will bring that experience to a European setting, where he is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping both the coaching staff’s approach and the players’ progress throughout the season.
