Despite limited playing time due to a right ankle injury in the second half, third-year forward Kobe Brown showed significant potential during the Clippers’ narrow 95-92 Summer League win over Houston on Friday, according to Broderick Turner of The Los Angeles Times.

In just 20 minutes on the court, Brown managed to score 14 points, grab four rebounds, and dish out four assists, demonstrating his all-around contribution.

Clippers Summer League head coach Jeremy Castleberry praised Brown’s performance and urged him to keep building on it.

“He just needs to keep doing what he showed tonight,” Castleberry said. “That means playing strong defense and making smart decisions with the ball. We’ve been emphasizing this throughout training camp: getting into the paint, drawing double teams, and then making the right play.

“If the defense matches him with a smaller player, he proved tonight that he can capitalize on that mismatch by scoring efficiently – driving hard, moving decisively, and not hesitating, just going straight to the basket.”
