Alongside acquiring big man Ivica Zubac from the Los Angeles Clippers, the Indiana Pacers also brought in guard Kobe Brown as part of the same trade.

Brown had been playing a limited role in Los Angeles, averaging just 8.7 minutes per game, but he could see a larger opportunity with Indiana for the remainder of the season.

“I’m grateful, for sure. Grateful to be in this position,” the player told Tony East of CircleCitySpin.com.

“I feel like this team is a great team. Obviously, they were just in the Finals last year and were so close to winning it. And for them to want me here is big. So I’m happy and excited to be here and be a part of it.”

The former Clipper has appeared in two games for Indiana so far, including earning a start in Wednesday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets.

Brown has played 3 seasons for the Clippers and Pacers. He has averaged 2.3 points in 120 regular-season games.
