Christian Koloko has been officially added to the Los Angeles Lakers’ Summer League roster, the team announced Thursday, as reported by Khobi Price on X. This move marks another step in his return to NBA action after health challenges sidelined him for much of last year.

The 7-foot center signed a two-way contract with the Lakers in September 2024 but required clearance from the NBA’s fitness-to-play panel due to a prior medical issue. After completing that process in late October, he made his debut for Los Angeles on November 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Koloko appeared in 37 games for the Lakers during the 2024–25 season, averaging 2.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in just over nine minutes per contest.

Before joining the Lakers, Koloko spent his rookie year with the Toronto Raptors, playing in 58 games in 2022–23. In addition to NBA appearances, he also logged time in the G League last season, where he averaged 16.7 points and 5.6 rebounds across 12 games for Rio Grande Valley and Delaware.

On Thursday night in Las Vegas, the Lakers opened Summer League play with an 87–85 loss to the Dallas Mavericks at the Thomas & Mack Center. Koloko played nearly 13 minutes in his return, finishing with three points, two rebounds, and a block.
