The Toronto Raptors have added forward David Roddy on an Exhibit 10 contract as they continue to shape their training camp roster.
Blake Murphy of Sportsnet reported Thursday that Roddy, along with Tyson Degenhart and Clifford Omoruyi from the Raptors’ Summer League squad, are joining the team on similar deals. This move sets up a competitive battle for the final roster spots, two-way contracts, and G League assignments with Raptors 905.
Roddy, 24, has already played for six NBA teams and multiple G League affiliates since being drafted in 2022. Most recently, he was briefly part of the Atlanta Hawks organization before being waived in July following the Kevin Durant trade to the Houston Rockets.
The former Memphis Grizzlies first-round pick appeared in 33 NBA games during the 2024–25 season across stints with the Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Houston Rockets. He averaged 4.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in just over 12 minutes per game, shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from three-point range.
Roddy also impressed in the G League, putting up 16.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game on 50.7 percent shooting over 12 contests with Rio Grande Valley and Delaware.
An Exhibit 10 contract gives the Raptors the flexibility to convert Roddy to a two-way deal or waive him and retain his G League rights if he joins Raptors 905. Players on such contracts also earn a bonus if they spend at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate.
