The Liga Endesa’s top three all won and the eighth spot still as tight as ever on a busy period of action in week 25.

League leaders Barcelona secured a comfortable 84-69 victory over basement side Gipuzkoa. Tomas Satoransky and youngster Aleksandar Vezenkov both scored 15 points for Barca.

Valencia also recorded a straight forward road win as they defeated Rio Monbus 91-79, thanks to a strong first quarter showing, where Valencia led 20-12 and never looked back.

Third placed Real Madrid claimed a 96-84 home against Zaragoza with Jaycee Carroll leading the way with 16 points.

In the race for the eighth and final spot in the Playoffs, UCAM Murcia toppled Sevilla 80-76 to take that very position with Tenerife (84-80 win over Estudiantes) and Bilbao (82-77 loss against Unicaja Malaga) still just outside the top eight but with the same 12-13 record as Murcia.

Despite starting the season so well, Andorra are gradually starting to slip away after a 89-80 defeat at home to Fuenlabrada, who themselves are moving up the table and are now into seventh.

The loss drops Andorra into eleventh.

Further up the Liga Endesa table and fifth placed Gran Canaria narrowed the gap on fourth placed Laboral Kutxa with a 93-90 win in Las Palmas.

Sasu Salin and Alen Omic each scored 16 points for the winner, cancelling out Mike James’ 21-point effort for Laboral.

The late game in week 25 saw Manresa claim an impressive 76-63 road win over Joventut Badalona.
