The Phoenix Suns have officially signed Rasheer Fleming to a four-year, $8.7 million contract after acquiring him in a draft-night trade. NBA insider Michael Scotto reported the agreement, noting that the deal is fully guaranteed for three years with a team option for the fourth.

Fleming, drafted 31st overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves, was sent to Phoenix on July 6 as part of a seven-team trade. The Suns wasted little time locking up the All-Atlantic 10 forward following his breakout junior season at Saint Joseph’s.

At Saint Joseph’s, Fleming earned First-Team All-A-10 honors in 2025 after averaging 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks over 35 games. He shot 53.1% from the field and an improved 39% from three-point range, showcasing his ability to stretch the floor.

Across three seasons with the Hawks, Fleming played in 101 games, averaging 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds while developing into one of the conference’s most versatile big men. His defensive instincts and rebounding presence made him a key target for NBA teams looking to bolster their frontcourt depth.

Fleming starred in high school at Camden in New Jersey before committing to Saint Joseph’s, where he quickly made an impact as a freshman. His steady improvement each season caught scouts’ attention, especially his jump in shooting efficiency during his final year.

With the guaranteed years and team option, the Suns maintain flexibility while securing a promising prospect who could carve out minutes in their frontcourt rotation as the season progresses.
