The Phoenix Suns have signed second-round pick Koby Brea to a two-way contract, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The former Kentucky guard was selected No. 41 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors before his rights were traded to Phoenix.

Brea, 22, averaged 11.6 points per game and shot an impressive 43.5% from beyond the arc during his lone season with the Wildcats. His elite perimeter shooting was a key factor in Kentucky’s deep NCAA Tournament run and elevated his draft stock significantly.

Before transferring to Kentucky, Brea spent four years at Dayton, where he earned Atlantic 10 Sixth Man of the Year honors twice, in 2022 and 2024. Across his five-year college career, he became known as one of the nation’s most consistent three-point threats.

The New York native started his basketball journey at Norman Thomas High School in Manhattan before transferring to Monsignor Scanlan in the Bronx. His steady development and reliable shooting mechanics made him a standout at every level.

Brea’s senior season at Kentucky marked his most efficient year, as he posted a .470 field goal percentage, .435 from three-point range, and .914 at the free-throw line. He appeared in 36 games and averaged 28.1 minutes, contributing 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game alongside his scoring.

Under the two-way deal, Brea will split time between the Suns and their G League affiliate. Phoenix views his shooting and floor spacing as valuable assets for their bench unit as they aim to build depth for the upcoming season.
