Tre Jones has agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract to remain with the Chicago Bulls, solidifying his role as a key part of their backcourt rotation moving forward.

Jones was acquired by Chicago at the trade deadline as part of the deal that sent Zach LaVine to the San Antonio Spurs.

Since arriving in Chicago, Jones has proven to be a steady and efficient presence, earning the trust of the coaching staff and front office.

Originally selected with the 31st overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Spurs, Jones carved out a larger role during his short stint with the Bulls, averaging 11.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 25.3 minutes per game across 18 appearances.

His ability to run the offense, take care of the ball, and provide perimeter defense made him a valuable contributor down the stretch.

This new deal signals Chicago’s intent to maintain stability at the guard position and continue developing a younger, more balanced roster.

The contract gives the Bulls a cost-effective and productive option at point guard, while providing Jones with the security and opportunity to further establish himself as a starting-caliber player in the NBA.
