Nigel Hayes-Davis has agreed to a fully guaranteed one-year contract with the Phoenix Suns, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. Hayes-Davis, who recently won the 2025 EuroLeague championship with Fenerbahce, returns to the NBA after an impressive stint overseas.
The forward earned the EuroLeague Final Four MVP award and was the top scorer during the final. He also helped Fenerbahce secure back-to-back Turkish League titles and Turkish Cup championships. Hayes-Davis was named MVP in both domestic competitions.
Over the 2024-25 EuroLeague season, Hayes-Davis averaged 16.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, shooting 41% from three-point range and over 90% from the free-throw line. He made the All-EuroLeague First Team for the second consecutive year, confirming his status as one of Europe’s top players.
Before joining Fenerbahce, Hayes-Davis played for notable EuroLeague teams including Zalgiris Kaunas and FC Barcelona. His career also includes NBA experience with the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors, and Sacramento Kings, as well as time in the G League.
The Phoenix Suns finished the 2024-25 NBA season 36-46, placing 11th in the Western Conference and missing the playoffs. The Suns look to add veteran depth and shooting with Hayes-Davis as they prepare for the next season.
Hayes-Davis’s return to the NBA comes at a time when Phoenix seeks to bolster its roster after falling short in the highly competitive Western Conference.
The one-year deal offers Hayes-Davis a chance to prove himself again on the NBA stage, following multiple seasons of success abroad.
