The San Antonio Spurs are reportedly among the teams expected to pursue Guerschon Yabusele this summer, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Yabusele, who just completed a productive campaign with the Philadelphia 76ers, is set to enter unrestricted free agency in July.

The 29-year-old forward averaged 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 50.1% from the field and 38.0% from three-point range.

He started 43 of his 70 appearances for a Sixers squad that struggled to a 24–58 record and missed the postseason for the first time since 2020.

Despite the team’s poor performance, Yabusele emerged as a consistent contributor and now appears poised to command a significant raise from the $2 million deal he signed last summer.

Philadelphia owns his Early Bird Rights, giving them the ability to re-sign him above the salary cap.

However, that path may be complicated.

As reported by The Stein Line, Kelly Oubre Jr., Andre Drummond, and Eric Gordon are all expected to pick up their player options for 2025–26, reducing the Sixers’ financial flexibility.

The frontcourt rotation is also projected to grow more crowded if Drummond returns and rookie big man Adem Bona earns playing time.

League executives expect several franchises to enter the mix for Yabusele’s services, viewing his size, floor spacing, and defensive versatility as an ideal fit in modern schemes.

San Antonio, which finished 13th in the Western Conference with a 34–48 record, is looking to reshape its roster around 7-foot-4 centerpiece Victor Wembanyama.

Yabusele recently stated that he intends to remain in the NBA and is focused on finding the right fit in free agency.
