The Phoenix Suns are actively gauging the trade market for veteran wings Royce O’Neale and Grayson Allen, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

League sources revealed that both players have drawn interest as the organization evaluates its roster following a disappointing 36–46 season.

O’Neale, 32, averaged 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists across 75 games this past season, shooting 40.6 percent from three-point range. He is entering the second year of a four-year, $42 million contract.

Allen, 29, posted 10.6 points per game while shooting 42.6 percent from beyond the arc in 64 appearances. His deal runs through the 2027–28 season, with three years remaining on a four-year, $70 million pact.

The team’s efforts to retool the roster follow a major shift in direction after parting ways with head coach Mike Budenholzer on April 14. Phoenix has since named Jordan Ott as head coach and promoted Brian Gregory to general manager.

The Suns already made a major move by agreeing to trade Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets in a deal that will become official on July 6. The package brings back Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Phoenix’s own 2025 first-round pick, and multiple second-rounders.

Scotto reported that Phoenix previously held trade talks involving Durant and Minnesota but the Timberwolves were hesitant due to not being on Durant’s list of preferred destinations.

Additionally, the Suns were interested in acquiring Rudy Gobert as part of those discussions, though the proposed frontcourt pairing of Gobert with Julius Randle and Durant was viewed as a poor defensive fit by Minnesota’s front office.

With the organization signaling a shift toward younger talent and greater financial flexibility, moving O’Neale and Allen would align with a broader reset strategy ahead of the 2025–26 campaign.

The Suns currently have several rotation players on multi-year deals, but changes under new leadership indicate that no player outside of Devin Booker and Jalen Green may be untouchable.
