Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers carried a striking resemblance to a key moment from the Thunder’s previous playoff run, specifically their Western Conference semifinals matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

As Tim Bontemps of ESPN points out, the situation in Game 4 felt “eerily reminiscent” of that earlier contest.

In that series, the Thunder found themselves trailing by multiple possessions on the road during the fourth quarter but managed to mount a comeback and eventually clinch the series in seven games.

Similarly, in this recent Game 4, the Pacers appeared to show signs of fatigue for the first time all series, especially in the critical final quarter.

After shooting a respectable 39% from beyond the arc during the first three quarters, the Pacers struggled mightily in the fourth, missing eight three-point attempts.

This drop-off in shooting accuracy contributed significantly to the Thunder’s comeback and eventual victory.
