In their Game 4 loss, the Indiana Pacers struggled with several small but crucial errors, Shakeia Taylor of The Athletic observes.
The team missed eight free throws, including some critical attempts late in the game by Bennedict Mathurin.
Additionally, Indiana committed more fouls than usual, lost the battle for offensive rebounds, turned the ball over more frequently, and allowed the Thunder significantly more second-chance points.
These combined factors contributed to the narrow defeat. Despite these setbacks, the Pacers remain confident about their chances as the series shifts back to Oklahoma City.
Forward Pascal Siakam expressed optimism, emphasizing the team’s experience with winning on the road.
“We’ve won some games on the road before, so I think we just gotta go out there with our confidence,” Siakam said.
“We’ll watch [film on] what we did wrong and try to get better at those things. We just gotta go out there and do things that we’ve done in the past.”
This mindset suggests that Indiana is determined to learn from its mistakes and come back stronger, trusting in their ability to execute proven strategies in the crucial upcoming games.
