Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski has his eyes firmly set on the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Speaking on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, the 22-year-old made it clear that representing Team USA is one of his primary long-term goals.
“Obviously, I want to be an All-Star — as soon as I can be — whether that’s with Steph and them here, or it’s when they’re done,” Podziemski said, via HoopsHype. “I want to do that. I want to be an Olympian in 2028 — definitely something I have my sights on.”
The second-year guard also expressed a desire to become a recognizable name in the league and eventually contend for a championship.
“I just want to be a household name, somewhere where it can be me and a bunch of other guys winning a championship. That’d be kind of ideal for me,” he said during the interview.
Podziemski has shown year-over-year growth since entering the league as the No. 19 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
He averaged 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game during the 2024-25 regular season while shooting 44.5% from the field and 37.2% from deep.
His improved free throw accuracy — up to 75.8% this season — also reflects increased offensive maturity.
In the 2025 NBA Playoffs, the former Santa Clara standout started 11 of 12 games and logged over 32 minutes per contest.
Though his shooting percentages dipped in the postseason, he maintained a strong presence with 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.
Golden State finished the regular season 48-34 and entered the playoffs as the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference.
