The NBA on Tuesday announced the 12 referees selected to officiate the 2025 NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV.

The championship series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers tips off Thursday, June 5 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Scott Foster, who leads all active officials with 25 NBA Finals games, headlines the officiating crew.

Veterans Tony Brothers and Marc Davis are also returning for their 14th Finals assignments, while James Capers will work his 13th.

First-time Finals officials include Ben Taylor and Tyler Ford, both of whom served as alternates in the past two postseasons.

The complete list of 2025 NBA Finals referees includes: Foster, Brothers, Davis, Capers, John Goble, David Guthrie, James Williams, Josh Tiven, Sean Wright, Zach Zarba, Taylor, and Ford.

Courtney Kirkland and Kevin Scott have been named alternates for the series.

Referees were chosen based on their performance across the first three rounds of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, which were evaluated by NBA Referee Operations management after each round.

Foster, Davis, and Brothers bring the most Finals experience to this year’s crew, having officiated a combined 63 championship games.

The Thunder, who defeated the Timberwolves 4-1 in the Western Conference Finals, are making their first Finals appearance since 2012.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads Oklahoma City, which posted the league’s best record at 68-14 during the regular season.

Indiana reached the Finals for the first time in 25 years after eliminating the New York Knicks in six games in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Pascal Siakam earned the Larry Bird Trophy as Eastern Conference Finals MVP, averaging over 24 points per game during the series.

The 2025 NBA Finals marks only the second time in league history that neither finalist hails from California, Texas, Florida, or New York.

Oklahoma City enters the series with homecourt advantage and will host Games 1 and 2 at Paycom Center.
