The Romanian Basketball Federation has announced that Marcel Tenter will coach the national men’s side at Eurobasket 2017.
Romania will be hosting one of the group phases in Cluj, where the 46-year-old Tenter currently coaches.
As a coach, Tenter is a relative unknown, beginning life on the sidelines in 2009 following retirement as a player. The playcaller has had two spells at CS Cluj, where he currently resides as well as a stint in Hungary with Alba Fehervar.
As a player, he has had spells in Germany with Brose Baskets, along with Israel and Hungary.
