Cedric Coward has officially decided to remain in the 2025 NBA Draft as an early entry candidate. Initially, Coward had the option to withdraw from the draft and join Duke University for the upcoming college basketball season.
However, after putting in a strong performance at the NBA Draft Combine, he has opted to continue pursuing his professional career immediately.
Last season, Coward appeared in six games for Washington State University. Before transferring there, the 6-foot-6 wing spent time playing at Eastern Washington University and began his collegiate basketball journey at Willamette University.
Throughout his college career, Coward has demonstrated a reliable three-point shooting ability, coupled with solid defensive skills, effective rebounding, and noticeable improvements as a playmaker.
Leading sports network ESPN currently projects Coward as a late first-round to early second-round pick in the draft.
His impressive showing at the recent combine caught the attention of numerous NBA teams, fueling speculation that he could indeed be selected in the first round when the draft takes place.
