Injuries to several of his Orlando Magic teammates provided second-year guard Anthony Black with more playing time and opportunities, but according to Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel, Black struggled with his shooting consistency and wasn’t able to fully capitalize on those chances.

Acknowledging his need for improvement, Black is planning to focus on refining his offensive skills during the offseason. He intends to work on his shooting, ball-handling, finishing through contact, and the ability to create his scoring opportunities.

“I look forward to helping this team win,” the player said, reflecting his determination to make a greater impact moving forward.

“This summer is going to be all about figuring out how to do that, how they want me to do that and try to maximize that. I know I can contribute a lot to the team next year.”

Black has spent two seasons with the Orlando Magic, showcasing his potential as a young guard. Throughout 147 regular-season games, he has averaged 7.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

While still developing, these numbers reflect his ability to contribute across multiple areas of the game, including scoring, playmaking, and rebounding.
