Although the Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner has yet to decide whether he will compete for Germany in this summer’s EuroBasket tournament, his teammate, center Goga Bitadze, is fully committed to representing his home country of Georgia at the event, as reported by Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops.

Bitadze emphasized the importance of the opportunity, stating, “I take that very seriously. It’s a big honor for me to play for my country, and I plan to fully dedicate myself to preparing for the tournament.

“I’ll be working hard all summer to stay in top shape, with the goal of helping the national team succeed. My hope is that we can win as many games as possible and make a strong impact at EuroBasket.”

Bitadze has played 6 seasons for the Magic and Pacers. He has averaged 5.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 319 regular-season games.
