Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown appears ready to hit the ground running as the team begins its playoff run.

Brown, who has been dealing with a lingering right knee issue in recent weeks, is officially off the injury report heading into Game 1 of the Celtics’ first-round matchup against the Orlando Magic.

Brown had been listed with a posterior impingement in his right knee, a condition he’s previously described as a bone bruise.

Despite the discomfort, he managed to continue playing down the stretch of the regular season, though his minutes and impact were carefully managed at times.

Now, with the postseason tipping off, the Celtics received a positive update – Brown will not have any minutes restriction in Game 1.

That’s great news for a Boston squad looking to make a deep playoff run. Even so, the All-Star wasn’t interested in diving into the details of his injury when speaking to reporters.

“I’m not here to talk about my knee, guys,” Brown said. “It is what it is. I’m focused on Orlando.”

Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla echoed that optimism and expressed full confidence in Brown’s readiness both physically and mentally.

“He looks good,” Mazzulla said. “He was able to do everything, no limitations. He’s been great, physically, mentally, really preparing himself, ready to go. So, (I) love the week that he had.”

With Brown cleared and seemingly locked in, the Celtics are set to open their playoff campaign at full strength.
