When Brandon Ingram makes his return to the court, Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic has no intentions of altering the high-scoring forward’s playing style, especially when it comes to his approach to mid-range shots.
As reported by Josh Lewenberg of TSN, Rajakovic emphasized that he wants Ingram to remain true to his natural game and not shy away from taking shots that are a key part of his offensive arsenal.
“I told Brandon I don’t want to change him… He needs to be himself,” Rajakovic said.
The coach went on to address the common critiques surrounding mid-range shooting, affirming that he supports Ingram’s ability to take those shots confidently.
“People are always going to talk about, oh, mid-range… Brother, if you can make a shot from that position, go for it.”
Rajakovic’s statement highlights his trust in Ingram’s skillset and his belief that players should embrace their strengths without worrying about conventional opinions or trends.
For Ingram, the message is clear: the coach wants him to continue playing his game, shooting from wherever he feels comfortable and capable.
