The Raptors and Clippers are reportedly closing in on a trade that would send Kawhi Leonard back to Toronto, although the two teams are still negotiating the draft compensation needed to finalize the deal.

According to Brian Windhorst, the player framework is largely complete, with Brandon Ingram expected to headline the package going to Los Angeles.

The remaining discussions are centered on how many future first-round picks Toronto will include, as the Clippers continue pushing for additional draft assets.

“This is lining up,” Windhorst said on ESPN’s Get Up. “This trade could happen today.”

He added that Toronto is prepared to offer Leonard a contract extension and that the veteran forward is willing to sign one with the Raptors. W

indhorst also noted the Clippers have not presented Leonard with an extension offer this offseason, despite his strong 2025-26 campaign.

Ingram, who signed a three-year, $120 million extension shortly after joining Toronto in February 2025, has two seasons remaining on his contract.

A deal centered around Leonard and Ingram would also reduce the Clippers’ payroll, potentially creating additional salary cap flexibility for free agency.
