Although the Trail Blazers showed encouraging progress this season, they’re still a work in progress when it comes to becoming a consistent playoff contender, writes The Oregonian’s Bill Oram.
When asked about the team’s postseason expectations for next year, Blazers general manager Joe Cronin shared a cautiously optimistic outlook.
“I think that’s a reasonable expectation,” Cronin said. “Assuming our guys keep getting better, assuming we do our jobs and keep adding talent to this roster. I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t be competitive in that regard.”
Cronin emphasized development and roster improvement as key factors in their path toward playoff relevance.
