The Los Angeles Lakers will be without a long list of players for their regular-season finale against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.

After locking in the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference with a 140-109 win over the second-seeded Houston Rockets, the Lakers have elected to rest most of their key contributors.

Luka Doncic has been ruled out with left quad soreness, while LeBron James is sidelined due to a left groin strain.

The franchise will also be without Dorian Finney-Smith (left ankle effusion), Rui Hachimura (left patellar tendinopathy), Austin Reaves (right ankle sprain), and Maxi Kleber, who continues his recovery from right foot surgery.

Jaxson Hayes (right hand contusion), Gabe Vincent (left knee effusion), and Jarred Vanderbilt (left foot injury management) are all listed as questionable.

Jordan Goodwin is the only player on the Lakers’ injury report marked as probable, dealing with right plantar fasciitis.

Portland, which is out of playoff contention, is also expected to sit the majority of its regular rotation.

The Trail Blazers have ruled out Deandre Ayton (left calf strain), Jerami Grant (right knee inflammation), Scoot Henderson (concussion protocol), Bryce McGowens (right rib fracture), Anfernee Simons (right forearm contusion), and Robert Williams III (left knee injury management).

Shaedon Sharpe is listed as questionable with right knee soreness, and Deni Avdija is doubtful due to a right thumb sprain.

Both teams have nothing to gain in the standings from Sunday’s matchup.

Los Angeles enters the contest with a 50-31 record, while Portland stands at 35-46.

The Lakers have gone 7-3 in their last ten games and have already won all three prior meetings against the Blazers this season.

The Trail Blazers, meanwhile, are playing their final game of the 2024–25 season and will look to evaluate younger players and fringe roster pieces.

Los Angeles will open its playoff run later this week, hosting the No. 6 seed, which is still to be determined depending on Sunday’s results.
