Multiple teams are expected to show interest in trading for Kevin Durant this offseason, as the Phoenix Suns are likely to collaborate on his departure.
The Suns have faced disappointment in recent seasons since adding Bradley Beal to their star-studded roster alongside Durant and Devin Booker.
The Golden State Warriors were among the key contenders to pursue Durant at the trade deadline, but several other teams have also expressed interest, potentially creating more mutual connections.
These teams include the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets, according to Shams Charania.
Charania reported that “Back at the NBA trade deadline in February, Minnesota, Miami, New York, San Antonio and Houston were among the teams showing mutual interest in Durant. I expect these teams, along with potentially others, to reenter the conversation this summer.”
Durant will be eligible for a two-year, $120 million extension during the upcoming offseason.
As his current contract is set to expire, Durant will have a significant amount of influence over the decision-making process regarding his future.
