R.J. Barrett led the way with 31 points as the Toronto Raptors cruised to a 127-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.
The Raptors (28-47) picked up their fourth consecutive win, while the Sixers (23-52) dropped their eighth straight game. Toronto took control early in the second quarter and never trailed again, building a 63-49 lead by halftime. Barrett scored 19 of his 31 points in the first half.
Ja’Kobe Walter contributed 17 points, shooting 5-of-11 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Lonnie Walker IV led Philadelphia with 23 points, while Jalen Hood-Schifino added 18 off the bench.
Toronto opened the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run to extend its lead to 20 points. The Raptors outscored the Sixers by four in the second half, with Jamison Battle leading the team with 13 points after halftime.
The Raptors have now won 10 of their last 15 games.
Philadelphia continued to struggle defensively, allowing at least 110 points for the 19th straight game. The Sixers shot just 8-of-29 (27.6%) from three-point range.
Scottie Barnes finished with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists for Toronto. Orlando Robinson contributed 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists in 23 minutes. Jamal Shead dished out a game-high nine assists while recording 11 points.
Jamison Battle added 16 points off the bench, hitting 4-of-8 from three-point range. Jonathan Mogbo provided 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists in 25 minutes.
For Philadelphia, Ricky Council IV recorded 17 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Edwards had 12 points, while Adem Bona finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, and five blocks. Jared Butler chipped in 15 points and six assists.
The Raptors shot 47.6% from the field and knocked down 17-of-38 (44.7%) from three-point range. Toronto also registered 32 assists while limiting its turnovers to 10.
