The Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies will face off in a pivotal Western Conference clash, with both teams entering the matchup holding identical 44-29 records. While playoff positioning is at stake, injuries could play a key role in determining the outcome.

For the first time in weeks, the Lakers have a relatively short injury report. Only two players are listed, with Maxi Kleber ruled out as he continues recovering from right foot surgery. Austin Reaves is questionable due to a right ankle sprain, leaving his availability uncertain.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are dealing with a more extensive injury list. Ja Morant is questionable with a left hamstring strain, while Marvin Bagley III is also questionable due to concussion protocol. Brandon Clarke remains sidelined with a right knee PCL sprain, and Zyon Pullin is out with a right patellar tendon injury.

Memphis will also be without GG Jackson and Yuki Kawamura, both of whom are currently on G League assignments. The absence of these key rotation players adds another challenge for interim head coach Tuomas Iisalo, who recently took over following the dismissal of Taylor Jenkins.

The Lakers have struggled in their last ten games, going 4-6, while Memphis has posted a 5-5 record in the same span. With both teams currently positioned in the middle of the Western Conference playoff picture, this matchup could have major implications as the postseason approaches.

This will be the fourth and final meeting between the teams in the regular season. Los Angeles holds a 2-1 series lead and will look to secure the tiebreaker. With Morant’s status uncertain and Reaves also questionable, both teams could be forced to adjust their rotations on short notice.
