After enduring their worst losing streak in 17 years – a brutal 10-game skid – the Miami Heat seem to have regained their rhythm over the past week.

Their resurgence began with a commanding 17-point victory over Charlotte on Sunday, putting an emphatic end to their slump.

They followed that up by playing spoiler to Jimmy Butler’s return to Miami on Tuesday, dismantling the Golden State Warriors in a dominant performance.

Capping off their resurgence, the Heat secured a third consecutive win on Thursday, defeating the Atlanta Hawks.

A major catalyst in Miami’s turnaround has been Tyler Herro, who had struggled with efficiency since the trade deadline.

Before Sunday’s game, the sixth-year guard was shooting just 43.5% from the field, including a concerning 27.9% from beyond the arc over a 19-game stretch.

However, in these three recent victories, Herro has flipped the script, catching fire and averaging an impressive 28.3 points per game while shooting a blistering 67.4% from the floor.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra effusively praised Herro after his standout 36-point performance against Atlanta. In that performance, Herro shot an ultra-efficient 13-of-17 from the field.

Spoelstra lauded Herro’s evolution into a more dynamic offensive weapon, highlighting his ability to score within the game’s natural flow.

“Tyler was so efficient,” Spoelstra remarked, as reported by Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald.

“And the best part about it is he did this entire game mostly off the ball. I didn’t run one specific play for him. He got 36 just on the move, within the context of the game. He’s learning how to manipulate when guys are really being aggressive with him. He can be a great screener, he can play off the ball, he can back cut, he can do a lot of those different things. That’s great growth to see.”
