
The FIBA EuroBasket 2025 groups were officially drawn on Thursday in Riga, Latvia. The 24 teams participating in the 42nd edition of the tournament were sorted into four groups, based on the FIBA World Ranking Men seedings.
The draw took place at an event hosted by the Latvian Basketball Association. FIBA EuroBasket legends Rudy Fernandez, a four-time champion, and Nikos Zisis, a 2005 EuroBasket winner, assisted in the process.

Group A: Serbia, Latvia, Czechia, Türkiye, Estonia, Portugal
Group B: Germany, Lithuania, Montenegro, Finland, Great Britain, Sweden
Group C: Spain, Greece, Italy, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus
Group D: France, Slovenia, Poland, Israel, Belgium, Iceland
Each of the four co-host nations—Latvia, Finland, Cyprus, and Poland—was pre-assigned to a specific group. Latvia will host Group A in Riga, Finland will host Group B in Tampere, Cyprus will host Group C in Limassol, and Poland will host Group D in Katowice. The co-hosts also selected a partner country to be placed in their group. Latvia and Estonia, Finland and Lithuania, Cyprus and Greece, and Poland and Iceland will play in the same groups.
Latvia and Estonia, both part of Group A, will play their matches in Riga. Finland and Lithuania are paired in Group B, to be played in Tampere, while Cyprus and Greece will be in Group C in Limassol. Poland and Iceland will compete in Group D, held in Katowice.
Spain, the 2022 EuroBasket gold medalists, headline Group C. The team is expected to be a strong contender, alongside teams like Italy and Greece. France, the 2022 silver medalists, are in Group D, where they will compete with teams such as Slovenia and Belgium. Germany, the bronze medalists from 2022, are in Group B with Lithuania and Montenegro.
EuroBasket 2025 will take place across four countries: Latvia, Finland, Cyprus, and Poland. The tournament will feature a mix of established teams and emerging nations, with each group offering competitive matchups. The competition is set to begin later this year, with all 24 teams aiming for success.
