Isaac Jones has officially signed a two-year contract with the Sacramento Kings after being promoted from his two-way deal over the weekend.

The agreement is a minimum-salary contract, with Jones set to earn $152,957 for the remainder of the current season, Hoops Rumors has confirmed.

The second year of Jones’ deal includes a team option at the league’s minimum salary. If exercised, it would pay him $1,955,377 for the next season.

Sacramento has two potential courses of action regarding Jones’ future. The team could simply pick up the option in June, keeping him on the roster for another season at a cost-effective rate.

Alternatively, the Kings could decline the option and extend a qualifying offer, which would make Jones a restricted free agent.

This second approach would allow Sacramento to negotiate a longer-term deal with the rookie forward/center while maintaining the right to match any outside offers he receives.
