The Denver Nuggets’ ongoing defensive struggles were evident once again in their Friday loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, as noted by Troy Renck of The Denver Post.

Despite facing a Blazers team that was missing its top scorer, the Nuggets allowed a concerning 128 points, further underscoring the team’s defensive issues.

This loss marked their .500 record of 8-8 since the All-Star break, highlighting their inconsistency.

Renck also pointed out that the departures of key defenders Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope over the last two offseasons have left coach Michael Malone searching for solutions to significant matchup challenges.

The team has yet to find the necessary defensive cohesion and adjustments needed to address these weaknesses.
