Cam Thomas expressed his desire to remain with the Brooklyn Nets next season in a recent interview with Brian Lewis of the New York Post, emphasizing the strong connections he has built within the organization.
“I feel like I built a lot of great relationships here. It’s a business at the end of the day. I’d love to be back and get that straightened out, just to keep playing in front of the fans and keep building relationships that I built here,” Thomas stated, highlighting both his attachment to the team and the business side of the NBA.
Currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, Thomas is expected to miss the remainder of the season. However, he remains a key player for the Nets and is set to become a restricted free agent in the offseason.
League sources indicate that the 23-year-old guard could draw offers in the range of $20 million to $22 million per year, a testament to his scoring ability and potential.
Before his injury, Thomas was enjoying a breakout season, averaging 24.0 points and 3.8 assists per game, solidifying himself as one of the Nets’ most promising offensive weapons.
