The Miami Heat’s upcoming stretch includes five games against teams with winning records, and the team has struggled in these matchups throughout the season, according to Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald.

This tough stretch has placed the Heat in jeopardy of falling eight games below .500, a position they haven’t found themselves in since the 2016-17 season. As pointed out by Chiang, the situation is becoming increasingly dire.

“We just got to stay with it,” All-Star guard Tyler Herro said. “I know it’s getting old hearing that. But that’s our job is to stick with it. I think these last couple games, our spirit hasn’t been at the level it needs to be.

“Obviously, wins and losses can affect emotionally. But I feel like right now is a time when we need to come closer, be as close as we’ve ever been from top to bottom. Being able to come in and just lean on each other, try to turn this thing around.”

Herro has played 6 seasons for the Heat. He has averaged 19.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 346 regular-season games. He has won 1 Sixth Man of the Year award.
