Miami Heat rookie center Kel’el Ware has been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season, but he faced challenges in his recent matchups against larger centers Mark Williams and Ivica Zubac.

As noted by Anthony Chiang in The Herald, Ware was even held out of the second half during Wednesday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Despite these struggles, Ware remains optimistic about his growth, stating that he is “rolling with the punches” of the ups and downs of his first season.

“Those are guys who have been in the league for a minute and I’m still learning through it,” the big man explained. “So I don’t really think it’s tough. I just think it’s more of a lesson to learn, look back on it and get better next year.”

Ware has played 1 season for the Heat. He has averaged 8.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 47 regular-season games.
