The Chicago Bulls will be without Ayo Dosunmu for the rest of the season after the guard was diagnosed with left shoulder instability.
The team announced that Dosunmu will undergo surgery, with updates on his recovery to be provided as necessary.
The 25-year-old had been a key part of Chicago’s starting lineup, averaging 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 30.3 minutes per game.
This is a significant blow for the Bulls (24-37), who are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference standings and fighting to remain in the play-in race. Dosunmu’s two-way ability had been a bright spot in an otherwise challenging season for Chicago.
