Panathinaikos Athens added depth to its backcourt, bringing in experienced guard Marquez Haynes until the end of the season, club announced on Friday night. Haynes (1.88 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, the team he joined this past summer. So far this season, Haynes has posted 13 points, 3.2 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 10 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season games, and 15 points and 6.5 assists in four Eurocup Last 32 games. Haynes also has 13.6 points, 4.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds in Italian League action. He has previously played in two other Euroleague campaigns, his debut season with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in 2013-14, and last year with Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv. Haynes started playing professionally in 2010 with Chalon-sur-Saone in France, and also played with Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas in Spain, Artland Dragons in Germany and Montepaschi Siena in Italy. Panathinaikos has 2-3 record in a share of fifth place in the Top 16 Group E, and Haynes will be eligible to play for the Greens starting with Top 16 Round 8 game.
