Luka Doncic displayed grace and professionalism during his introductory press conference with the Los Angeles Lakers, choosing not to speak ill of the Dallas Mavericks despite being questioned about his former team.

However, reports suggest that the player harbors significant resentment toward the organization following their decision to trade him.

Upon his departure, Mavericks’ management made unusually candid remarks, openly expressing concerns about Doncic’s conditioning and whether he could sustain MVP-level performance over time.

“He didn’t show any emotion [on Tuesday], but from what I gather, he’s fuming inside,” said Brian Windhorst on Pardon The Interruption. “And their fan base is equally furious with the franchise, perhaps more than I’ve ever seen.”

The Mavericks had the opportunity to extend Doncic a lucrative five-year, $345 million supermax contract this offseason, a deal he was reportedly ready to sign before the trade took place.

Sasa Doncic, Luka’s father, voiced strong criticism during an extensive interview on Slovenian television, expressing dissatisfaction with the way the Mavericks handled his son’s exit.
