The Miami Heat have not yet received an offer for veteran forward Jimmy Butler that they are willing to accept.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, during NBA Today on Tuesday, the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors are considered the two frontrunners in the pursuit of Butler.

Charania further revealed that, from Butler’s perspective, the Suns are the only team he is currently open to committing to on a long-term basis, a stance that is well-known among those within NBA circles.

This gives the Suns a clear edge in the discussions, should they be able to meet the Heat’s demands.

Despite Butler’s strong preference for the Suns, both he and the Heat are motivated to complete a deal before the trade deadline.

However, it’s worth noting that a trade to the Suns would likely be far more complex and challenging to execute than a potential move to the Warriors.

The Heat are still weighing their options, knowing that Butler’s future remains uncertain as they navigate this delicate situation.
