Fenerbahce has officially parted ways with Skylar Mays after just a few months with the team. The club announced his departure on social media, thanking him for his contributions and wishing him success in the next phase of his career.

Mays joined the Turkish powerhouse in October 2024 and appeared in 14 EuroLeague games. The 27-year-old guard averaged 3.7 points and 1.1 assists per game while primarily playing a reserve role.

His last appearance came in Round 20, and Fenerbahce currently holds a 15-7 record, sitting second in the EuroLeague standings. The team remains in a strong position despite his exit as it continues its push for the playoffs.

Fenerbahce did not disclose specific reasons for the roster move, but Mays’ limited role may have played a factor. With the club eyeing a deep postseason run, adjustments to the backcourt rotation were likely considered.

Before his stint in Turkey, Mays spent time in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers. He has also played in the G League and could explore opportunities to return to the United States.
