The Phoenix Suns have reportedly declined trade inquiries from rival teams seeking to acquire veteran forward Kevin Durant, according to ESPN.

Despite the team’s recent struggles, Durant has shown no indications of dissatisfaction or any desire to request a trade if Phoenix fails to reassert itself as a championship contender.

The player notably opted not to sign a one-year, $59.5 million contract extension in October, though he remains eligible to ink a two-year, $124 million extension beginning in mid-June. This decision leaves the door open for potential contract negotiations during the offseason.

Now 36 years old, Durant continues to solidify his reputation as one of the league’s premier scorers, averaging 27.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists while logging 36.2 minutes per game.

The Suns initially acquired Durant at the 2023 trade deadline in a blockbuster move designed to bolster their championship hopes.

Durant has played 17 seasons for 4 teams, including the Thunder and Nets. He has averaged 27.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 1,097 regular-season games. He was selected to play in 14 All-Star games.

He has won the Rookie of the Year award, 1 MVP award, 2 Finals MVP awards, and 2 NBA championships.
