Tyler Herro spearheaded the Miami Heat’s comeback with a 30-point, 12-assist performance, lifting his team to a 125-119 double-overtime win against the Orlando Magic on Monday. Miami erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to secure a hard-fought victory and improve to 23-22 for the season.

Bam Adebayo contributed 26 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, falling just shy of a triple-double. Rookie Kel’el Ware added 19 points and 10 rebounds, showcasing poise under pressure in extended minutes. The Heat mounted a late surge, fueled by a 15-3 run in the fourth quarter, to force the game into overtime.

Orlando, now 24-24, saw Franz Wagner lead their scoring effort with 29 points, while Paolo Banchero and Tristan da Silva each contributed 17. The Magic faltered in the second overtime, scoring just three points, as Miami’s defense tightened in the closing moments.

The Heat entered the game without Jimmy Butler, who served another suspension. Miami holds a 10-10 record in games without Butler this season, compared to 13-12 when he plays. Despite his absence, the Heat showed resilience and clinched their second double-digit comeback win over Orlando this season.

Goga Bitadze made an impactful return for the Magic after missing six games due to concussion protocol. He posted 10 points and nine rebounds in 22 minutes.

Herro’s all-around game, highlighted by his eight rebounds and four three-pointers, set the tone for Miami’s balanced attack. Duncan Robinson and Nikola Jovic provided additional support, scoring 15 points apiece.

Wagner’s scoring efforts kept the Magic competitive, but his teammates struggled to capitalize late, shooting just 35.9% from beyond the arc.

The Heat shot 52.2% overall and converted 15 of their 41 three-point attempts. Their defensive intensity and superior ball movement were key, evidenced by their 34 team assists compared to Orlando’s 32.
