The Sacramento Kings secured a 110-96 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, propelled by De’Aaron Fox’s 30-point performance and a dominant second half. The Kings improved to 24-22 on the season, snapping a two-game losing streak, while the Nets fell to 14-33 after suffering their eighth consecutive loss.

Domantas Sabonis recorded his seventh triple-double of the season, contributing 21 points, 22 rebounds, and 10 assists. Malik Monk added 16 points, and DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 17 for Sacramento, which outscored Brooklyn 63-42 after halftime. Keegan Murray’s clutch three-pointer capped a decisive 13-2 run in the fourth quarter, extending the Kings’ lead to 97-85 with 6:08 remaining.

The game turned in the third quarter, with the Kings erasing a seven-point halftime deficit. Fox scored 16 points in the period, including eight during a 12-0 run, helping Sacramento outscore Brooklyn 33-24 in the frame. Sabonis’s interior dominance played a key role, as he became the fifth player in franchise history with 20 or more games of 20-plus rebounds.

Brooklyn’s offense struggled throughout the night, shooting just 36.6% from the field and 27.8% from beyond the arc. D’Angelo Russell led the Nets with 19 points, while Tosan Evboumwan added 15 off the bench. Day’Ron Sharpe also contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to offset the Kings’ balanced attack.

The Nets faced challenges due to injuries, with Ben Simmons missing his fifth straight game due to lower back soreness and Noah Clowney exiting in the second quarter after spraining his left ankle.

Sacramento’s defense shined in the fourth quarter, holding Brooklyn to just 18 points. Malik Monk and Keon Ellis combined for four steals, disrupting the Nets’ rhythm and securing critical stops. Despite committing 17 turnovers, the Kings capitalized on efficient shooting, converting 54.9% of their field goals.
