The New Orleans Pelicans secured a 110-98 victory over the Washington Wizards on Sunday night, led by CJ McCollum’s 25 points and Dejounte Murray’s triple-double.

Murray recorded 14 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds, marking his 20th career triple-double. Trey Murphy III contributed 22 points as New Orleans improved to 7-29, moving past Washington (6-27) in the standings after sweeping the home-and-home series.

McCollum, who exploded for 50 points against the Wizards on Friday, delivered an efficient performance, shooting 9-of-18 from the field and 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. New Orleans’ win was its second consecutive, following an 11-game losing streak.

Kyle Kuzma led all scorers with 28 points for Washington, but his effort wasn’t enough to overcome the absence of key players. The Wizards were without Jordan Poole (hip injury) and Bilal Coulibaly (illness). Meanwhile, Zion Williamson (hamstring) and Brandon Ingram (ankle) remained sidelined for the Pelicans.

Rookie Yves Missi shone for New Orleans with 16 points, seven rebounds, and a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. He outperformed Wizards rookie Alex Sarr, who posted 18 points and 11 rebounds in a solid outing.

New Orleans also benefited from balanced contributions off the bench. Daniel Theis chipped in five points and seven rebounds, while Jordan Hawkins added six points despite shooting struggles. The Pelicans’ reserves outscored the Wizards’ bench 22-18.

Washington struggled from three-point range, shooting just 26.8% compared to New Orleans’ 36.7%. The Wizards also committed 15 turnovers, which the Pelicans converted into 18 points.
