According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, The Miami Heat have not received any attractive trade offers for Jimmy Butler.
“They’ve definitely gotten a lot of calls. The issue here is that most of the offers are not that attractive to the Heat,” Windhorst said.
“And that doesn’t surprise them because a month ago they heard some calls on Jimmy Butler and then they came out with that statement that they weren’t going to trade him because they really didn’t like any of the offers.”
This indicates that Miami’s position on Butler hasn’t shifted, and their reluctance to engage in a trade stems from the lack of proposals that meet their standards.
Teams across the league seem to be probing Miami’s resolve, testing whether they can land Butler for a significantly discounted price.
“Right now you’re seeing a lot of teams testing just how low they might be able to buy Jimmy Butler for,” Windhorst added on SportsCenter.
The analyst highlighted that the Phoenix Suns remain an exception in this scenario, actively pursuing a trade for the Heat star.
However, a straightforward deal between the Suns and Heat appears unlikely due to Miami’s disinterest in absorbing Bradley Beal’s large contract.
As a result, any potential trade scenario would require a more complex, multi-team framework involving three or four teams to satisfy all parties involved.
