Jonathan Kuminga endured a “significant” sprained ankle during the Golden State Warriors’ 121-113 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.

An MRI is scheduled for Kuminga on Sunday to further evaluate the injury.

“It’s a sprained ankle. We’ll have more tomorrow. It is not going to be a day-to-day thing. It was a significant sprain. So we’ll just have a report tomorrow once we get a better feel for it,” shared Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Before the injury, Kuminga had been in strong form, achieving 20 or more points in three out of his last four games.

“I’m just glad we have the depth that we do. I’m glad we have Kyle [Anderson]. There was a reason we signed him and Buddy [Hield]. We added a lot of depth for this reason, to be able to withstand some injuries,” Kerr emphasized.
