Joel Embiid has been upgraded to questionable for the Philadelphia 76ers’ upcoming game on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets.
The star center, who suffered a right sinus fracture last week, has been making progress in his recovery and participated in team practices over the last two days. He is set to be reevaluated on Friday to determine his readiness to play.
Embiid has appeared in just six games this season, primarily due to ongoing knee issues, a suspension, and a recent sinus injury. Despite the limited action, he has been productive when on the court, averaging 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 29.3 minutes per game.
The 76ers are currently struggling with a disappointing 8-16 record, sitting in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, making Embiid’s potential return even more crucial as the team looks to improve its performance and climb the standings.
