The Chicago Bulls are continuing to aggressively explore trade opportunities for several of their key players, including Lonzo Ball, Nikola Vucevic, and Zach LaVine, as they focus on positioning themselves for the upcoming 2025 NBA draft.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bulls are looking to stay competitive in a draft class expected to be packed with talent, and they hope to secure a favorable spot in the lottery.

However, there is an added complication with their draft situation, as the team owes San Antonio a first-round pick, though it’s protected for the top-10 in the 2025 draft.

Despite their efforts to rebuild and make moves for the future, the trade of Zach LaVine, whose contract remains a significant financial commitment, is looking less likely this season.

A source close to the situation told Cowley that it’s more of a “pipe dream” than a realistic possibility unless something major happens, such as an injury to LaVine or another unexpected event that might push the team into action.

With the team focused on developing for the future and maintaining flexibility, the front office is expected to continue evaluating their roster and making strategic decisions as they aim to rebuild while staying competitive.
