The New Orleans Pelicans, currently at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 5-22 record, are reportedly open to trading almost every player on their roster, except for three key individuals.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Pelicans are reluctant to entertain trade talks for a select group of players: Herb Jones, rookie Yves Missi, and Trey Murphy III. The franchise, however, is listening to offers for nearly everyone else as they look to rebuild during a challenging season.
Injuries have plagued New Orleans throughout the year, further complicating their efforts. Key players such as Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Dejounte Murray, and Jose Alvarado have all missed significant time, contributing to the team’s poor start.
Despite the setbacks, the Pelicans continue to build around their young talent, particularly Jones, Missi, and Murphy. The trio has emerged as cornerstones for the future, with the front office focusing on developing these players long-term.
