The Houston Rockets are set to receive two important reinforcements for their upcoming NBA Cup quarterfinal matchup against the Golden State Warriors, according to Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle.

Point guard Fred VanVleet, who was sidelined for Sunday’s game due to a right knee injury, will return to action, bolstering the Rockets’ backcourt.

VanVleet’s leadership and playmaking ability are key for Houston, and his return is expected to provide a boost to the team’s offensive flow and defensive presence.

In addition to VanVleet, third-year forward Tari Eason will also rejoin the roster after clearing the NBA’s concussion protocol. Eason had missed the Rockets’ previous two games following a concussion, but he has now been cleared to play.

His return will offer the team added depth in the frontcourt, with his versatile defensive abilities and rebounding skills being particularly valuable.

The return of both players is timely for the Rockets as they aim to strengthen their lineup ahead of the high-stakes game against Golden State.

With VanVleet back in the fold and Eason providing additional support, the Rockets will be in a stronger position to compete and continue their push in the NBA Cup.
